Our Team

We are a team of clinicians, scientists, engineers, and healthcare professionals with experience in artificial intelligence, machine learning, lens optics, and clinical expertise in refractive cataract surgery.

The Oculotix team came together organically through a mutually recognized need for a tool that could streamline and improve patient outcomes in refractive cataract surgery. The founders had family members who, despite their knowledge and means, had poor outcomes after routine cataract surgeries. We knew that this should not be happening, but that lens choice is often subjective and there are no tools available to surgeons to help predict the patient’s outcomes. This became an opportunity to apply our unique understanding of optics, bolstered with the power of machine learning, as a solution to simplify and improve the surgical experience for both patients and providers.
